I have discovered that chewing gum is a great way to prevent snacking and munching. I have been chewing sugar free gum like crazy, but I think it is helping. Today has been a great day. I started out with my normal bowl of cereal, followed by a half of a roast beef sandwich (no cheese) with a serving size of baked southwestern ranch chips. I also had a jello cup and 2 wheat thins flat breads. I did have one Reese's peanut butter cup from our secretary. I have discovered that the chocolate shredded wheat minis are a great snack. So I had one serving of those throughout the day, which is 52 biscuits, and yes I counted them out this morning. I made spaghetti for supper with salad and garlic bread. I just used sliced wheat bread and put a small amount of cheese, garlic powder and Italian seasoning on it and toasted in the oven. I decided to try using smaller plates at supper and that really helped me to keep my portion of spaghetti under control. I also worked out for about 25 minutes after school. I used my resistance bands, did push-ups, sit-ups and even a few jumping jacks. I don't think I am quite ready to jump in with Jillian just yet, but I am hoping to build back up to doing that video again. I have found a revived fire again that will hopefully boost me along. The weekend wasn't the best weekend, I had fried pickles and peanut butter pie, it was beyond delicious!!! Hope you all have a great week, I am hoping to blog everyday this week, we will see if it happens!
Aren't you amazed what gum can do. I have a pack with me everywhere I go just for the snacking issue. Last year Donnie and I both cut out snacking so gum became my best friend!
